Interchangeable Point Drive and Live Centers
Our interchangeable point drive and live centers have been designed to meet every requirements in woodturning, for any application and any type of wood. Our huge range guarantees versatility thanks to the interchangeable tips that can be mounted on drive- and live centers as well as on chucks.
Morse Taper Drive Centers – Chuck Drive Centers
This MT2 drive center is to be used with removable 2-, 4- or more prong points, depending on the application to perform. All available points have the same thread to enable you to mount them on drive- and live center as well as on a specific chuck adapter.
Interchangeable Point Live Centers
Our live centers consists of a MT2 body and a revolving element supported by 2 prelubricated airtight sealed radial bearings and 1 additional bearings that is able to support a thrust equal to 13KN (1.300 Kilos approximately).
Various interchangeable points can be added to this body, depending on the application to perform.
A live center for wood lathes is different from the one for metal lathes. In addition to the center point it has a special serrated ring that provides a light clamping pressure and supports the workpiece absorbing the strain in woodturning. You can choose between a short and a long center point. The latter has a stronger grip and is able to compact better wood fibres.
There are two different interchangeable point live centers: a 9 mm diameter through hole live center to be used together with the specific boring tool and a live center with solid shank for heady applications with big workpieces.

Preparing for Woodturning
It allows the workpiece to be driven very well. It is used to prepare the workpiece before between-center woodturning.
It applies pressure to the wood fibres so that the seat of the drive center does not become loose during the working.

Multipoint Drive Center
The multipoint drive center is used on workpieces that have been already cut to the desired size, because the point has not a deep grip. The particular shape of teeth enables an efficient drive with a minimum pressure. Also suitable for small pieces with drive on the
border. Thanks to the light pressure the workpiece will not break.

Cup Live Center Point
Mounted on a live center to hold small size workpieces with a light pressure (to avoid any breakage). It is often used together with the steady rest.

Cone Live Center Point
Used to hold metal workpieces and any non deformable-material.
We suggested you to use it on the solid shank.

Live- and Drive Center Safe Point
Designed for both live- and drive center. If used on the drive center, it allows the workpiece to slip or stop if too muchpressure is applied during woodturning. Perfect for
beginning turners and for delicate applications.

Faceplate Ring
Thanks to a 75° bevelled inner rim it allows you to hold the workpiece in two different ways: either together with the 35 mm diameter safe point live center, when you have to support an eccentric, big workpiece, or with a jaw chuck.
