The winder for wood lathe is composed of a Morse taper which may have measure 1, 2 or 3 (the abbreviations are commonly used: CM2, MK2, MT2), or a suitable attachment to the socket of spindle (for not having to remove the spindle from the machine)

Multipoint can be also mounted on the live center.
