Ducati Desert X is a splendid motorcycle, powerful but easy to handle, but to use it off-road is necessary to protect its beating heart.

The skid plate is an element which protects the important parts of our motorbike, in the Rally version, when the catalyst is taken off, so this rally skid plate extends to protect the collectors and the rear linkage.

The anchoring plate is wider than the off-road one and mount directly on the frames, to distribute and absorb a multi-point impact on a wider surface, and other two brackets in structural steel 5mm anchored directly on the motorbike frame to hold up heavy-use impacts.

On the right part the skid plate extends to protect even the brake lever, ‘cause the lever is in such a position that, in case of fall, it can damage the bike. On the left side it extends to protect the water pump and we also proceeds a 2,5lt tool box, really useful when off-roading to place an emergency repair kit. We also studied a plate to insert into suitables loopholes to permit motorbike lift during maintenance via a scissor lift.

The skid plate comes with special screws for mounting and suitable spacers to mount in with Ducati original’s crash bars.
