This jig offering a lot of advantages:
- taking full advantage of wood lathe capacity, turning the largest diameter allowed - a round workpiece does not cause vibration to the lathe, that means a safety working

- reduced strokes in the roughing process on the wood lathe
- allowing you to exploit the whole workpiece, specially in case of precious woods.
The jig is fastened at the band saw table by means of clamps (not included). The jig pivot point must be aligned to the band saw blade when the device is in working position. The sliding pivot workpiece support enables you to adjust the distance from the band saw blade. It can be opened and moved away from the blade. The workpiece turns on the jig’s pivot point and is rounded off.
The device comes complete with three pins: two pointed pins (short and long) and one 8 mm diameter round-head pin. Such diameter matches the size of woodworm screw. It is possible to mount the workpiece onto the 34 mm diameter 4-prong drive centre (art.no. 3808) thanks to the 8 mm drilled hole through either the 8 mm diameter round-head pin or the 8 mm diameter live- and drive center safe point (art.no. 3853).
